My Supervision Style
I approach supervision as a collaborative and reflective process designed to support both professional growth and personal development. Instead of providing prescriptive solutions, I help supervisees develop their own clinical voice while staying grounded in ethical practice and aligned with Pennsylvania licensure requirements.
Supervision with me balances practical and reflective aspects: we focus on documentation, professional standards, and licensure goals, while also making space to explore case material, countertransference, and the deeper challenges of therapeutic work.
I strive to offer a steady, thoughtful presence where curiosity is encouraged, complexity is embraced, and growth occurs through open dialogue. My goal is to help you not only meet the requirements but also build the confidence and clarity necessary for a sustainable, values-driven practice.
Frequently Asked Questions About Clinical Supervision in Pennsylvania
Q: Are you an approved clinical supervisor in Pennsylvania?
Yes. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with approved supervisor status in Pennsylvania. I meet the requirements set by the State Board for supervising those working toward LPC licensure.
Q: How many hours of supervision do I need for LPC licensure in PA?
In Pennsylvania, LPC candidates must complete at least 3,000 hours of supervised clinical experience after earning their master’s degree. Of those hours, at least 150 must be under the supervision of a Board-approved supervisor. I work with supervisees to ensure hours are documented and meet all state requirements.
Q: Do you offer individual or group supervision?
I primarily offer individual supervision, which allows for personalized attention and space to process clinical work in depth. If there is enough interest, group supervision may be available as well.
Q: What is your approach to clinical supervision?
My supervision style is trauma-informed, humanistic, and rooted in understanding your lived experience. I provide a reflective, collaborative space where we can explore your clinical work, strengthen your skills, and ensure ethical and professional growth on the path to licensure.
Q: How much does supervision cost?
Please contact me directly for current supervision fees. I am happy to discuss rates, structure, and scheduling so you can determine if my supervision is the right fit for your needs.
Q: Where do you provide supervision?
I provide clinical supervision throughout Pennsylvania, including in-person in Center City, Philadelphia. Virtual supervision is also available for those across the state.
Q: Does supervision count toward CEUs, or get reimbursed by insurance?
Clinical supervision hours for licensure do not count as continuing education (CEU) credits, and they are not reimbursable by insurance. However, they are required for licensure, and I provide thorough documentation so your hours are accurately tracked for submission to the State Board.
